Not saying that this could not be useful at some point, it just falls outside of what I am actually doing and learning in my other classes. Either way it is a required assignment just wanted to voice my opinion on the matter. Blogging could be used as a tool for health education, but it cannot apply to all because everyone does not have access to such technology. Maintaining a blog is not what I want to focus on, I’m more so interested in actually being able to help the community and also help eliminate health disparities. Being a health education major, being knowledgeable around blogging sites as different information outlets is very helpful. Blogging is not complex and I am sure I would enjoy it if I was doing it for leisure, but I am not. Blogging, is one of the things that’s stressing me out. I actually hate being stressed by things that does not directly relate to my major or anticipated career. I’ll share more next week on how I’ve incorporated certain foods.Īs the semester is coming to an end, it is progressively getting more stressful. I have also been gearing my eating habits toward including more fruits and vegetables that help strengthen and build a stronger immune system. I do not want to push myself to far to the point where I make myself more susceptible to injury. I also wanted to point out one thing that I have to remember when exercising, it’s to be aware of my limit. The site also includes good tips on gaining mass as well. There are also really good recipe ideas listed on the site. The site lists injury prevention tips as well as workouts focusing on various parts of the body. I came across a site that I found resourceful and wanted to share. I am not an expert in exercising but I have learned a lot since the start of this journey.

My work out partner as well as myself have been working on a complete fitness plan and we have also done research on preventing injury during excercising. Anyone can injure themselves without taking or being aware of the proper precautions. Injury prevention is especially vital when it comes to exercising. If companies are actually valuing their employees these matters will be of top priority to the employers. This in turns helps businesses remain competitive in today’s market. It will also benefit America as a whole because there are studies that have proved that a relationship exist between a company’s safety performance and productivity performance and financial outcomes. Implementing injury prevention programs in the work place will not only lower the number of preventable injuries but will also lower the cost for compensation of these injuries. It also helps the companies to keep their employees safe, because they can continue to work and not have to stay out sick.Įvery day there are over 9,000 serious work related injuries.

People should not be at danger in the work place, they should feel safe and they should also be protected. It is important that employers need to pay attention to work place conditions to ensure employees are working in the safest environments. The information was found on the OSHA site. I enjoy posting things regarding health education so I will continue discussing injury prevention in the workplace.

Overall the students did a great job, remained focused and communicated their points clearly They also talked a lot about rehabilitation centers and gave examples of some successful centers. They made the argument interesting with examples such as the “poverty cycle” and did a great job tying it to their argument. At least they were not referenced in the argument, they gave great rebuttals but it’s often times helpful to refer to the source of information, so judges know that this is actually proven through research and it also makes the argument more credible. Once the debate begin most of the argument was not backed up by evidence that they found. The opening speech was well written and included relevant quotes from CSSA as well as statistics. Overall the debaters made good eye contact and remained engaged throughout the entire debate. They were also sure to address the arguments as they were presented with a counterargument as well as solid evidence. The information was well organized and throughout the debate they mentioned more examples as to why nature determines drug abuse. The transition was good and they had a very creative poster. The details of the nicotine study was explained exceptionally well and they also referenced the book which was another good source. I was unable to catch a description all of the studies or sources used. The opening speech was very informational.

It was based on drug abuse and rather it was caused by nature or nurture.
